Fall Victorian Dance Classes

Sept 9 ~ Oct 7 ~ Nov 4 - 1880s Ballroom Essentials
This series of classes will work each month on the
basics and variations of the major dances of the 1880s - the waltz,
polka, and schottische of the late 19th century ballroom. Also
covered will be the fabulous 1880s quadrille "The Polo" and the star
cotillion figure! A downloadable class flier is here.
No previous experience is needed for these classes, but any prior
couple dance experience will be helpful.
Workshop cost is $10 per person in advance or $12 at the door for each.
The entire series may also be had for $27 for all three if paid
at or before the September class.
To preregister, please make checks payable to The Elegant
Arts Society and mail them to P.O. Box 8997, New Haven, CT 06532. Please
include your full name, address, phone number, and email address and indicate
which class(es) you are registering for.
Pre-registrations must be received by (and are refundable only
through) the Friday before the class. Please provide your name and
email address or phone number so we can contact you in case of some
change.
If you have a Paypal account linked to your bank account, you may pre-register
for classes here. Note that WE DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS; you must
have Paypal linked to your bank account for a cash transfer.

Street shoes are not allowed on the studio floor. Please bring
dedicated dance shoes or be prepared to dance in socks! Flat shoes
or ballet slippers are appropriate for ladies.
