Renaissance Dance Workshops
Sundays, April 6 ~ May 4 ~ June 1, 2008 ~ 4:00-6:00pm

Join us for a three-part series focusing on the dances of the courts of Renaissance Europe! Exact details will be posted in March; in brief summary:

April's class will cover the gentle, flowing pavane as well as the lively, challenging kicks and leaps of the galliard.

Details of May's class are still to be determined, but it will cover a choreographed court dance of either 15th or 16th century Italy.

June's class will cover the sliding, stamping, Spanish styling of Il Canario.

No previous experience is required for these classes, but some experience with any sort of dance with steps will be particularly helpful. Flat shoes are recommended.

Workshops are $10 per person in advance, or $12 at the door. The entire three-part series may be had for $30 total.
